I need to ask you a couple of questions today.
I'm so grateful for all of the lovely comments I have received. They have made me VERY HAPPY!.
My first question is about blog etiquette. Do I answer each comment individually or just say thank you in a post? This has really bothered me as I do not want to be rude. I haven't been blogging very long and do not want to get it wrong! I would be SOOO grateful if you could point me in the right direction!!
My second question. What can I do with all of these lovely buttons?
I have TONS!
I've used a few.
Cushion back using the attic 24 tutorial.
A little broach.
It seams a shame to not use them.
All ideas are welcome!!

It is up to you how you do it but I like to get my comments sent to me by email that way I can reply back personally (if they show their email adddress). Love the buttons. No idea. Flower centres? Brooches? Decorate a scarf. Brilliant cushion back too. xx
ReplyDeleteI post my "thank you's" in the comments section.
ReplyDeleteYou can make yourself a bracelet and/or you could host a giveaway for some of the buttons. :)
I add my comments on comments at the end of the post in italics. I have no idea if it works, but there it is.
ReplyDeleteI try to comment back on everything~but sometimes that is hard.
ReplyDeleteI don't get a bunch of comments, like some blogs. Maybe I'm not that interesting lol. I love your blog, btw.
Love your buttons! Thanks so much for posting on my Link Party. About comments.. mmm, I find that very difficult as well. I must admit I don't answer on comments very often because I don't think people get back to see if I've responded. But maybe I'm so wrong! (-: If so, let me know. I really do love comments, so I'd feel horrible if I don't follow the right etiquette.
ReplyDeleteBye!
Annemarie
Your cushion is beautiful, BTW!
ReplyDeleteI've also used buttons to decorate cards and gift tags. Those little flowers with a button centre make a cute '3D' tag - attach them to a tag or card with a little fabric glue and write the recipient's name on the back. :-)
PS - re. blog comments - I try to reply to comments by going to the person's blog and having a little snoop (haha!) and more often than not, I find something there that's so pretty, I have to comment anyway. I also look at the blog traffic feeder and check out where some of my readers are coming from (that's how I came on to this blog today.) Again, your work was SO lovely, I just had to comment :-)
ReplyDeleteYou could have a button swap....keep what interests you and swap for something else. You could host a swap. Or, you could sell the buttons too........many people love to buy them in mixed bags or as sets or in colors.
ReplyDeleteWelcome aboard. I see you have many of the same blog buddies as I follow. Here is what I did at first...was try to comment back or at least pop over. Once you get going it will be hard to comment back to all on every posting. I really only comment on the one's I aDORe...like yours....You will find some who only comment when they want you to pay a visit. That only works for so long and then you will get the game. Hang in there as there is a wall a few monthes in and you will want to stop, but keep going. It's well worth it in the long run and does get easier. Looking at your group, you are already in good company. Just don't let blogland stress you. It all about having fun here.
ReplyDeleteSome lovely work here! I like to put buttons on any sort of hanging decoration, I've also seen them strung onto elastic and made into bracelets.
