Star flower.

Hello!
Thank you all so much, for all of your lovely comments!
I was totally overwhelmed. You were all so very kind, hugs to everyone!

I have just joined a blog called The flower bed . It's a flower CAL. You really must pop over and have a look, there is some stunning work happening!
This is the blanket I'm making.
I'm still using Stylecraft, and my trusty 4mm hook.

Here's the pattern.
UK terms throughout.

Round 1: Ch 4 and join to form a ring, 12dc into ring, join with a slst to first dc (12dc)

Round 2: Ch4, slst in same st, * sk1 dc, slst in next dc, ch4, slst in same st*
Rep from *to* 5 times. ( 6 4ch loops)

Round 3:  * (6htr, 3ch, 6htr) into loop, slst into next slst* rep from *to* 6times.
Fasten off.

The petals will bunch up as you work around.

This one is going on my bag.

The pattern for the spiral is super easy.
The ones above are Ch15, 3dc in 2nd ch from hook, then work 4dc in each chain along.

Till next time.

  17. This comment is very much after the fact of your post, but I made this flower today for the first time. When I first found this post, I bookmarked it but was too new to the art of crochet to really comprehend what I needed to do. It made perfect sense to me today and I LOVE this flower! I have a question for you...hope you won't mind. What kind of needle do you use to load your beads onto your yarn in order to work them into your crochet? I have a tapestry needle but it's too large to fit through the hole in the bead...and the needles that fit through the beads don't have an eye big enough to thread the yarn into! Hence, I'm going to ask you what you use. Thanks for sharing this great pattern. x&o, Annette P.S. My post of today links to this post of your star flower.
