New things

I thought I'd just pop in to show you what I bought at Thursdays steam fair.
A very cute red and orange kitty.

All of this wool for felting.

Don't you think the colours are fantastic?
I haven't made anything yet. I think I'll start with something simple like a bracelet, using little felted balls.

And finally all these yellow buttons.

The whole tube was for sale.

50p for all of these lovely buttons!!!!
As soon as I spotted them I thought
FLOWER MIDDLES!!!

Yay!
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I have also finished my Circle in a granny square.

And Flower in a granny square.

YAY! YAY!YAY!
I'm very pleased with how these have finally come together.

I need to still take the photos to go with the pattern.
I hope to do that as soon as possible. Now that J has gone back to school,(I'm gonna miss him soooooooooooo much) I guess I'm going to have a lot more time. Although unless someone invents a self cleaning house. The first couple of days will be dedicated to housework.
Till next time
Bye Bye!

Great Dorset steam fair

Hello!
Yesterday we visited the Great Dorset steam fair. It's held every year in Blandford, right it the heart of the Dorset countryside.
It's so BIG! HUGE! ENORMOUS! There is no way you can see it all in one day. We were there from 11am till 8.30pm, and only saw about 1/3 of it.

Brightly coloured kites from the aptly named High as a kite!

Beautiful urdygurdys.
I'm not sure if that's what they're really called, but it's what my nan called them.
 I think it's a great word!

Fantastically old fashioned trucks and caravans.

I would dearly love to own something like this.

Of course we must not forget the steam engines!

The sounds and smells were amazing.

P,J and I were even part of the action! The above beast is owned by a friend of ours.

Trundling around the main showman's arena.
Very bouncy and jiggly. SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!

But all good things must come to an end ::sniff::

Grubby and tried we finally call it a day.
Until next year.

An award

I have very kindly been given an award from littlewollie
Thank you so much.
There are 3 rules as I understand it.

Rule 1. Thank the person who gave it to me. Thank you again littlewollie!

Rule 2. Tell you 7 things about myself.

So
1. I'm VERY VERY shy in person.
2. I hate rudeness, bad manners.
3. I'm scared of spiders, loud shouty people, and aliens.
4. I drink too many cups of tea per day.
5. I am 5.2" tall
6. I desperately want to open my own yarn / crochet shop.
7. I hate soggy food.

Rule 3. Pass this award on to 15 other blogs, and leave a message on their blog.

I think that's right.
Now I'm off to do some more circle in a square crochet!

Granny square

Hello!
Lately I've been working on a granny square.
I didn't realise how frustrating it is to try and design something from scratch.
I wanted to do my own version of a circle in a square.
Here's the first couple of tries

As you can see, the edges will not behave!
 :: sigh ::
After loads more attempts

It's looking a lot more like a grannyish type of square.

Nearly there!
I don't have a YAY moment yet, but it is soon!

I also wanted to show you my car blanket.
YAY!
I did do a happy dance too.
What I'm loving most about my little car is this.
I don't drive yet, it was a gift from my mum.
So I'm spending my time making bits and bobs to decorate her and make her look lovely (the car that is not my mum, she already looks lovely!)
Any hoo. P's car is in the middle of a huge engine rebuild and he needs a car to travel to work.
You've guessed it! He's using mine!
Tee hee!
A huge burly bloke driving a cute pinky red car complete with pretty blanket, flowery cushions,
and a couple of purple hearts on the back!!!!

Hello!
I've been feeling a little bit stressed the last couple of days.
Sometimes life is just so big and scary, don't you think?
So in order to cheer myself up, I thought I'd use this post to pop on some of my favorite pics.
I'm going to try and add them in a rainbow order.

RED

ORANGE

YELLOW

GREEN

BLUE

PURPLE

And a chilled out little kitty to end!
